On March 28, 2017 the inauguration ceremony of the “New Museum of Rome” was held in the heart of Rome between Piazza Navona and Piazza Campo dei Fiori. To attend the ceremony the Capitoline superintendent of cultural heritage Claudio Parisi Presicce, the mayor Virginia Raggi and the deputy mayor and councilor for culture of Rome Luca Bergamo.
A & R Progetti has been awarded the contract promoted by Zètema – Progetto cultura, on behalf of the Municipality of Rome, concerning the supply and installation of the new installations of the museum located in the rooms of the second and third floors of the eighteenth-century Palazzo Braschi. The announcement consists in the realization of all the specific furnishings necessary for the completion of the museum, to make it functional and usable to the public: in essence showcases, seats, multimedia stations, projections, curtains, information totems.
Particularly characterizing the installation is the predominant use of mirrors, a choice born from the idea that the art exhibited in the museum can “reflect” and “reflect” the history of Rome between the seventeenth and twentieth century.
The uniqueness of this supply is expressed by the project that combines multiple materials with very different nature and characteristics. The technicians of A & R Progetti have been able to work combining mirrors, glass, polycarbonate, wood and metal, creating innovative effects and multiple finishes.
In addition to the supply of the elements described above, A & R also took care of the complete installation: from the fixing of paintings to the walls, the positioning of busts, marbles and plastics, to the placement of the finds in the display cases.
