Bresciatoday – “Not just the Tree: Brescia’s passion at the Milanese Expo”
Many companies have left the hand of the Lioness at Expo: the A & R Progetti of Mazzano has created the windows for the Italian works exhibited at the Italian Pavilion
Not only does the Tree of Life speak Brescia at Expo2015.
While the gates open and the first visitors explore that million square meters that has given rise to so much controversy, from Molinetto comes the story of a small company from Brescia called to take care of the Italian masterpieces that will represent our country during the six months of Exposition.
The A & R Progetti of Alessio Sgotti, in fact, which deals with museum and museum design, is one of the companies that have left the hand of the Lioness in the realization of the great event in Milan.
The task was to design and build the display cases that will protect and enhance two of the works exhibited at the Italian Pavilion: we are talking about the “Vucciria” – painting of the famous Renato Guttuso representing the local market in Palermo – and the Trapezophoros of Ascoli Satriano, support of the marble canteen dating back to 400 BC, returned to Italy thanks to the intervention of the Carabinieri Command to protect the Cultural Heritage that recovered it at the Getty Museum in Los Angeles, where it had been illegally stolen. ”
